And let me tell you—Laguna Beach is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. But what truly made this trip unforgettable was the hotel itself.
The Room 🛏️
客室はちょうど改装を終えたばかりした。スタイリッシュでモダン、そして驚くほど清潔。今回、私たちが泊まったのは 『オーシャンビュー・ファイヤーサイド・ルーム』という1階のキングベッドルームで、プライベートパティオから太平洋を一望できる贅沢なお部屋でした。
特に気に入ったのが、朝早くにパティオに出て、波の音を聞きながら熱いコーヒーをゆっくり飲む時間。まさに至福のひとときです。朝からサーフィンをしている人達を見るとより一層、カリフォルニアに来ている感じが増しました。
ピシッと整えられたリネンや、心が落ち着くカラーコーディネートなど、すべてが新しくて心地よく、思わず長居したくなる空間。朝出かけるのが惜しくなるのはもちろん、チェックアウトの日には本当に離れがたいほど気に入ってしまいました。ホテルは町から花ているのでとても静かです。備付けのテーブルあるので、ワーケーションにも最適です。
Our room had just been beautifully renovated—sleek, modern, and incredibly clean. We stayed in the Ocean View Fireside Room — a King guest room on the ground floor, complete with a private patio and stunning views of the Pacific. One of my favorite moments each day was sitting out on the patio in the early morning, sipping a hot cup of coffee while listening to the waves roll in. Pure bliss. From the crisp linens to the calming color palette, everything felt fresh and inviting. It was the kind of space that made it hard to leave in the morning… and even harder to say goodbye at checkout.

リッツ・カールトンを特別な存在にしているのは、やっぱりその 行き届いたサービスです。到着した瞬間から、フロントスタッフ、ベルスタッフ、レストランのスタッフに至るまで、皆さんが本当に温かく、細やかな気配りをしてくれました。
ここではゲストとして扱われるというより、大切な友人として迎え入れられているような感覚。廊下ですれ違う時の「Good morning!」の一言から、サンセット鑑賞にぴったりのスポットを教えてくれたりと、どの瞬間もホスピタリティのレベルが一段上。
レストランではウェイターの方が私の名前覚えてくれたり、好みの味やお酒、アレルギーなど注意を払いいつも気に掛けてくださいました。その心のこもった接客が、旅の思い出をさらに特別なものにしてくれました。

ちょっとしたことですが、おかげで部屋全体が広々として見え、雑然としない快適な空間になっていました。
The room also featured a walk-in closet, which was a surprisingly great perk. It wasn’t just a small space to hang clothes — it was large enough to store suitcases and keep everything neatly tucked away. A small detail, but it made the room feel extra spacious and uncluttered.
日本人魂全開ですがw ビーチで過ごした後にゆっくり浸かれるバスタブがあれば最高だったな ….という点。でも、バスタブがなくても十分にラグジュアリーで、広いシャワールームでとてもリラックスできるバスルームでした。
The bathroom was spacious and beautifully clean, with a sleek modern design.
If I had one small wish? I would have loved a bathtub to unwind in after a day at the beach. But even without it, the space was luxurious and relaxing.
とにかく広くて明るく、設備も充実。そして何より、トレーニングしながら眺められる オーシャンビュー が圧巻、贅沢な眺めです。
ここなら、普段運動しない人でもちょっと体を動かしたくなるかもしれません。笑
Okay, full disclosure: I only stepped into the gym to take this photo… but wow, it was impressive! The space was huge, bright, and well-equipped — and with those ocean views.
…そして、一瞬で「絶対ここは癒される」と確信。とても落ち着いた雰囲気で、静けさに包まれた特別な空間という感じでした。スパの空間に入っただけで既に癒された気がしましたw
次回はぜひ“ご褒美デー” 自ら作ってスパを体験したいです！！
And while I didn’t have time to try it on this trip, I did sneak a peek at the spa from the outside. It looked incredibly serene.
Maybe next time, I’ll treat myself to a full spa day. (It’s already on my list!)
どこを歩いてもセンスよく整えられていて、正直、カメラを向ければどこでも“絵になる写真”が撮れてしまうような空間でした。

優雅なカーブを描くデザインと、その向こうに広がるオーシャンビューの組み合わせが本当に素敵で、「ここ、絶対ウェディングフォトにぴったりだ…」と思わず立ち止まってしまったほど。まさに夢のようなロケーションでした。
It wasn’t just the room that impressed me — the design of the entire hotel is absolutely stunning. Every corner felt thoughtfully curated, and honestly, you could point your camera anywhere and end up with a photo-worthy shot. One staircase in particular caught my eye — with its elegant curves and ocean-view backdrop, I thought,
this would be the perfect spot for wedding photos. It was that dreamy.
温かみのある光、自然素材の質感、そして開放感のある空間。どこにいても、つい足を止めてゆったりとした時間を楽しみたくなるような心地よさでした。
Even the hotel’s courtyard and common spaces beautifully captured that relaxed, upscale California vibe — warm light, natural textures, and open-air spaces that invite you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
